Perfect Ushers At Wiscar's 5th Year Anniversary, Graduation and Induction

WISCAR meaning Women In Successful Career is an organization set to assist young women make informed career choices and tackle professional challenges in a constructive manner through a structured yet personalized mentoring programme conducted by top level professionals.

One of their objectives is to spread awareness and promote gender sensitive policy formation across key industry segments and organization in Nigeria.

They held their 5th Anniversary, graduated stream 4 mentees and Inducted the 5th Stream of mentees at Eko Hotels and Suites.

Perfect Ushers was in this event, we pampered and managed the guest and ensured a choas free event to God's glory. The event was a huge success.

Perfect Ushers At The Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission Awareness Seminar

 The Event started with registrations of guest ranging from the Private Sector, to the Government Sector (including workers from the ministries, commissions and LCDA's), the technocrats, guest from academic institutes and Universities e.t.c

The Lagos State Governor, his deputy and other commissioners and DG's all graced the event. Lectures about geographical structure of water movemnet in Lagos state were given by very experienced professors.

Our Ushers were at their best, welcoming distinguished guests and assisting the event organizers to ensure the smooth running of the event.

Perfect Ushers At WISCAR's Graduation/Induction Ceremony


We ushered in WISCAR’s Stream 3 Graduation, and Stream 4 Induction Ceremony. It had over 200 people in attendance and we were at our best. As the distinguished guests were welcomed and settled in appropriately by Perfect Ushers.

Our ushering styles were unique as we were well placed during the event at strategic points where we were reached for enquiries.

And we had fun doing our job!

Perfect Ushers At CILGPAN

Recently, we were at CILGPAN's Investiture and took care of a Honourable's tent, you can trust that  we took charge of the event. We ensured that the hitches faced were overcomed and effective communication with other event service providers like the caterer was established and maintained.

Crowd Management was a small bite for us; the event had a population of over 300 people in attendance.

We also had fun doing our job. Yes we did! And so is our Signatory Pose! ;-)

Event planning advice - The 10 tips you may want to know



       •Have a vision for your event - Make sure you know what you want for your event and what you want to achieve. Involve all the key people from the outset.

•Goals and Objectives - Ensure you know what you want your event to deliver and commit your intentions to paper in the form of a draft outline. Ensure a plan is developed around your requirements and who is accountable, for what, from the outset.


•Time delivery - Be realistic how much time it will take an event firm to deliver the high quality event you are seeking. Ensure there is plenty of time and try and adopt the philosophy the earlier the start the better.


•Location selection - Ensure you have some guidelines for your event planner to seek out the right location for you. Location is absolutely one of the key success factors of organising your event.


•Budget - Ensure you let your event planner know the available budget for the event. It is their responsibility to manage and be accountable for expenditure of your budget. Ensure you commit this aspect to paper at as early a stage as possible.


•Plan - Get your event planner to provide a draft of how they envision the event on your behalf. Ensure you arrange briefings sessions with your event planner. They will usually provide an agenda ahead of the meetings. If an item you want to discuss isn't on it, get the event planner to place it on the agenda. Start from the day of the intended event and work your way backwards. This will let you know if your dates are attainable.


•Food & Beverage - Where possible, get your event planner to arrange a sampling session where possible ahead of an event. You want your clients to be catered for to the highest levels. If something is not to your satisfaction, a sampling session enables the event planner and supplier, to make adjustments ahead of the event. It also provides you with the reassurance that your event planner, is listening to your event brief carefully.


• Communication & Access - A good professional event planner will manage all the demands and hire all the suppliers for you. It is their job to free up your time and ensure your event is delivered to the highest possible standards. Agree at the outset with your event planner, how often you need to meet and ensure you are accessible for them, when they do need your support. Effective communication is vital at all times. If you communicate well, your event planner will be in a position to deliver your event with seamless ease.


• Checklists - A good event planner will produce a definitive and specific set of checklists for your event. Ensure someone with decision making ability and capacity is available to run through this with the event planner. The more that is written down and recorded, the more likely your event will be delivered successfully by your event planner. Checklists prevent the event planner from making mistakes.


•Post event meeting - Ensure your event planner provides a post event report to you and your team. Request them to produce this report within two weeks of your event and provide a summary against the event goals & objectives. Getting your event planner to provide this can provide invaluable for you and your team in planning future events.

PRIMARY DUTIES OF AN USHER

Lead guest to their seats, as well as to restrooms.

Ushers are expected help guests find lost articles of clothing and other possessions.


Ushers are expected help guests track down children who have become separated from a party.

Ushers must be knowledgeable about the location of handicap access, restrooms, vending, food, exits and entrances and exit locations. 

They must also have first-hand knowledge of the location of fire alarms and fire extinguishers.


At the end of a program or event ushers should ensure that exits, all paths and walkways are safe and clear.


Ushers must assist in the calm exiting of a building should an emergency arise.
